BEREA — Saturday morning was a festive one on College Square as family, friends and city officials gathered at the Bertrand brothers’ new location for their Bert’s SpeakCheezy storefront.

As you can hear in this audio interview of Brynnan Bertrand, co-owner of the shop with his brother Logan, there’s lots happening on the Square that will attract not only tourists, but locals as well.

Highlights of audio include:

  • New and expanded menu

  • Open for breakfast

  • A coffee and tea bar with “Nick” from Frost (set to close at the end of February) as head barrista and possibly bartender

  • Soon to come: a liquor, beer, and wine bar

  • Also coming: live music
