The weather is getting warmer and the days are getting longer, but the Berea Farmers Market has been here all along! Every Saturday, 10 – 1pm, at the Chestnut Street Pavilion, you can find all kinds of local goodies to enjoy during your next meal. Be on the lookout for local meats, mushrooms, kombucha, and even chocolate! Kentucky’s oldest “Producers Only” market is sure to have a little something for everyone.

This week is particularly exciting for lovers of the arts!
This Tuesday, consider attending the Berea College Department of Music’s Guest Piano Recital, where concert pianist, Gregory Sioles, promises a dynamic program of “elegance to bold Romantic expression”. From Chopin, to Mussorgsky, this is sure to be an unforgettable evening. This event is free and open to the public, held at Gray Auditorium, Presser Hall starting at 7pm.

Join the Berea Arts Council for an evening of art, conversation, and community to celebrate the enduring power of photography. The opening reception of On The Road to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with the Creative Camera Club is taking place Friday, March 13, at the Berea Arts Council, beginning at 5:30 PM. An artist talk will follow at 6 PM.

What better time to dive into a new hobby than this week? Good news – among the endless supply of books, Madison County Public Library also offers a wonderful selection of free, fun events to attend nearly every day of the week. Interested in starting a podcast? Attend the Podcast Editing 101 class from 6-8pm, Monday, March 9th! Want to learn how to sew? Meet the Berea Quilters and Needle Artists on Tuesday, March 10, from 1-3pm, or the Learn to Sew class also on Tuesday, from 5-7pm.
'Party'

Madison County Democratic Party to Host “March to the Primary” Saturday, March 14, from 5-8pm, at Honeysuckle Dining and Bourbon House, a cocktail hour fundraiser will feature remarks from Richmond native State Senator Keturah Herron and Lt. Govenor Jacqueline Coleman, as well as live music from the Dane Sadler Band, and door prizes from community partners!
