How can I help?
This week's featured service offers rape crisis, other sexual violence support

By Terri Crowe, CA, Regional Coordinator Supervisor of SVRC of the Bluegrass
At the Sexual Violence Resource Center of the Bluegrass (SVRC), we strive to be a beacon of hope and a force for change for survivors of sexual violence across the 17 counties we serve. SVRC staff, volunteers, and board are dedicated to empowering individuals, educating communities, and advocating for the prevention of sexual violence. As one of Kentucky's 13 rape crisis centers, we provide free, confidential services 24/7/365 to anyone affected by sexual harm.
Our services include crisis intervention, therapy, accompaniment for victims/survivors of sexual harm in the 20 emergency departments in the Bluegrass, and accompaniment in court and with law enforcement. We need your help, too! We have an ongoing need for volunteers to help us respond to our region's emergency departments to support child and adult survivors of sexual trauma. We would love to have you as part of our team!
If you would like more information about volunteering with us, please contact Angela at ahampton@svrckentucky.org or via our business line at 859-253-2615. If you need support for sexual trauma, please call our 24-hour support line at 859-253-2511 anytime, day or night.
During Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month, join us for our annual fundraiser Hope Blooms on Tuesday, April 28 6:00pm-9:00pm. Enjoy light dinner, make your own take-home bouquet, and support survivors! Call 859-253-2615 for more info!
